AvhaarThis page explains what information our website and toilet reporting platform store on your device. In short: we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. The website (avhaar.in)
- Sets no cookies.
- Saves one item in your browser's local storage,
avhaar_consent, which remembers whether you accepted or declined optional storage. This is essential to respect your choice. - Loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Fonts are served from our own site.
2. The toilet reporting platform (toilet.avhaar.in and the Android app)
The platform uses your browser's or phone's local storage for things it needs to work:
- Your login, so you stay signed in (stored as a token).
- Your language choice.
- A short-lived cache of your recent reports, so screens load faster on slow connections. It is cleared when you log out.
- A device token identifier for push notifications in the Android app.
- Your cookie choice,
avhaar_consent.
This is essential or functional storage. The platform does not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.
3. Optional storage and analytics
We currently run no analytics. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will switch it on only if you have accepted optional storage, and we will update this page first.
4. Managing your choice
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of the website to change your choice at any time.
- You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings. On the Android app, clearing the app's storage or logging out removes the data above.
5. Hosting providers
Our hosting providers (Vercel for the website and web app, Render for the platform's server) process technical request data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against attacks. See our Privacy Policy.
